So I should write a diary...

Someone put up a message that I should write a diary-note (well, it was me), so I better do that. I'm writing a diary-note on all my sites now, but am making them different everywhere.

I'm generally spending a lot of time thinking about how to make Elfpack better, and if I could make a different style of Elfpack. So far I think that Linkmeet should be that. It's also for "everyone" (For students actually), but is way more snobby than Elfpack. It's hard to get something new started though.

I have a problem to find new people for Elfpack also. The advertising doesn't work as far as I can see now. I guess new members will come eventually if it's just fun enough here, but I rather have them flowing in all the time...

I could actually do something to put on my brahof-site too... (See www.brahof.com) But, well, I'm lazy.

Otherwise I go to the pub 1.9 times a week and sometimes I've gone swimming. But now the weather has started to become coldish again. Which my computers and I like, but it kills the idea of outdoor swimming.

And a random fact: There are more members from Albania here than from France. Albania has 3.4 million inhabitants, and France 58, and in Albania Internet connections are way more scarce. Even if it's normal that abnormalies like this exists, I think that there is more behind it. One might be that there are plenty of sites in French and the French (also) don't speak English that well generally speaking. But there should be more French that know English well enough than there are Albanians of any kind...

Elfpackers...

Some Elfpackers are really smart and some aren't... Or they really lack the skill to read.

I changed so that when you log in, you'll get redirected to Mainstuff instead of your messages. This highly confused some members as they think they are still on the entrence-page and something went wrong.

So I write an alarm-message saying "Yes, when you log in now, you come to Mainstuff! It's not an error!". A few hours later I get a message from a member saying that there was some error logging in. So that member appearently read "error" and nothing else in the message and just gave up...

I also changed the register button on www.elfpack.com so say: "Register and become a member for free". You might think that it's clearly written that it's free, but no:

"I saw the tab on the sign-in screen to register and become a member for free. Do you have to pay to be on elfpack?"

Otherwise: Lithuania was great fun and reminded me about a Bluesbrothers stunt. Sweden competes with a song that is totally boring crap, but with a singer with eyes like Ozzy that has sacrified her soul to the devil (She call him "Jesus" and is awaiting his imminent return), I must admit that it rocks eventhough I hate it.

Apart from that it's mostly boring stuff that will be forgotten soon. But I'll still going to love to watch the competition on Saturday for once. And keeping all my thumbs against my country...

New home!

I've just moved and right now the new apartment is half-done. I just got the Internet fixed. I just need some time to get back into rutines now.

Busy, busy, busy...

As Shreya and Debby are having no computers and Nita is sent to Siberia (Oh, well, just west of Ural actually) I have a lot of things to fix at a lot of sites, so my mental presence might not be so good.

So if you're a crew or something like that, and are reading this, please take a look at things that might need attention and drop a line about it in the forum. I'm all behind you if you want to create something new, but I'm not very helpful at the moment.

Damn server!

OK, so I've got the new server and finally the installation went through nicely. There are still some issues that it will not start up without resetting it, but other fine... It's just that it hangs during the start up. Or maybe it doesn't hang, but only take more than 30 minutes to do anything?!? It still responds, but it's doing nothing.

I'll search to see if others have the same problems, but I'm kind of out of ideas now :-(
