SWOT analysis for Alton Towers
Introduction
A SWOT analysis is a technique used to help the marketing department to assess products. It’s a way of seeing the internal strengths and weaknesses together with the external opportunities and threats of products.
I will carry out a SWOT analysis for Alton Towers to see the improvements that could be made to make the theme park better and the strengths and opportunities the park already has. I will then sum up the information gained from my SWOT analysis in my conclusion.
Alton Towers has a lot of strengths, which have been aiding its success for many years. One of these strengths is its location. Alton Towers is surrounded by acres of land, which means they have lots of space to expand, to build new rides and keep up with the competition. It is easily accessible to most of the UK due to the fact that it is near major motorways, so therefore it gets more consumers because of it’s beneficial location. Another strength of Alton Towers is it’s high-status name.
Alton Towers is recognised nationally for its good services, new age technology and most of all its fantastic rides.
