"Life is like a grapefruit. Well, it's sort of orangy-yellow and dimpled on the outside, wet and squidgy in the middle. It's got pips inside, too. Oh, and some people have a half a one for breakfast."

Hey peeps. Not sure how often/long I'll be on. I've been helping a friend of my mom's take care of her eight orphaned (The mother died durring the C-section) lab puppies. They have to be bottle fed every 3 hours. There are 8 of them. And I've been the one feeding (Alone) most the time. Then I have to make sure everyone goes pee and/or poo before I put them in the big container for a while then they all go back to their little crates to sleep.

SMALL TOWNS

Those who grew up in small towns will laugh when they read this.

Those who didn't will be in disbelief and won't understand how true it
is.

1) You can name everyone you graduated with.

2) You know what 4-H means.

3) You went to parties at a pasture, barn, gravel pit, or in the
middle of a dirt road. On Monday you could always tell who was at the
party because of the scratches on their legs from running through the
woods when the party was busted. (See #6.)

4) You used to'drag'Main .

5) You whispered the 'F' word and your parents knew within the hour.

6) You scheduled parties around the schedules of different police
officers, because you new which ones
would bust you and which ones
wouldn't.

7) You could never buy cigarettes because all the store clerks knew
how old you were (and if you were old enough, they'd tell your parents
anyhow.) Besides, where would you get the money?

8) When you did find somebody old enough and brave enough to buy
cigarettes, you still had to go out into the country and drive on back
roads to smoke them.

9) You knew which section of the ditch you would find the beer your
buyer dropped off.

10) It was cool to date somebody from the neighboring town.

11) The whole school went to the same party after graduation.

12) You didn't give directions by street names but rather by
references. Turn by Nelson's house, go 2 blocks to Anerson's , and
it's four houses left of the track field.

13) The golf course had only 9 holes.

14) You couldn't help but date a friend's ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.

15) Your car stayed filthy
because of the dirt roads, and you will
never own a dark vehicle for this reason.

16) The town next to you was considered 'trashy' or 'snooty,' but was
actually just like your town.

17) You referred to anyone with a house newer then 1955 as the 'rich'
people.

18) The people in the 'big city' dressed funny, and then you picked up
the trend 2 years later.

19) Anyone you wanted could be found at the local gas station or the
dairybar.

20) You saw at least one friend a week driving a tractor through town
or one of your friends driving a grain truck to school occasionally.

21) The gym teacher suggested you haul hay for the summer to get
stronger.

22) Directions were given using THE stop sign as a reference.

23) When you decided to walk somewhere for exercise, 5 people would
pull over and ask if you wanted a ride.

24) Your teachers called you by your older siblings' names.

25) Your
teachers remembered when they taught your parents.

26) You could charge at any local store or write checks without any ID.

27) There was no McDonalds.

28) The closest mall was over an hour away.

29) It was normal to see an old man riding through town on a riding
lawn
mower.

30) You've pee'd in a cornfield.

31) Most people went by a nickname.

32) You laughed your butt off reading this because you know it is
true, and you forward it to everyone who may have lived in a small
town.

I would not have wanted to have been raised any other way!!!!

Toughtimes don't last... Tough people do.

I've prolly posted this before but it gives me chills when I read it so I'm posting it again.

A boy and a girl,
the best of friends.
From elementary to high school
from beginning to end.

Through all those years
their friendship grew.
They both felt the same,
but neither knew.

Each waking moment
since the day they met.
They both loved each other
sunrise to sunset.

He was all she had
in her terrible life.
He was the one
who kept her from her knife.

She was his angel,
she made him smile.
Though life threw him curves,
she made it all worth while.

Then one day
things went terribly wrong.
The next few weeks
were like a very sad song.

He made her jealous
on purpose he tried.
When the girl asked, "Do you love her?"
on purpose he lied.

He played with jealousy
like it was a game.
Little did he know
Things would never be the same.

His plan was working
but he had no clue.
How wrong things would go,
the damage he would do.

One night she broke down,
feeling very alone.
Just her and the blade,
no one else home.

She dialed his number,
he answered, "Hello"
She told him she loved him
and hung up the phone.

He raced to her house
just a minute too late.
Found her lying in blood,
her heart had no rate.

Beside her was a note,
in it her confession.
Her love for this boy,
her only obsession.

As he read the note,
he knelt down and cried.
Grabbed her knife,
that night they both died.

She was found in his arms,
both of them dead.
Under her note
his handwriting said:

"I loved her so,
she never knew.
All this time
I loved her too."

To my out of state friends who weren't fortunate enough to be born in Texas .... I sincerely apologize if this happens to be above some of yall's level of education!!! ha-ha

             U R A Texan
               If . . . .

    1. You can properly pronounce Corsicana,
    Palestine, Decatur, Wichita Falls, San
    Antonio, Burnet, Boerne, Nacogdoches ,
Mexia, Waco ,  Amarillo , and Waxahachie.

    2. A tornado warning siren is your signal to
go out in the yard and look for a funnel.

    3. You've ever had to switch from
"heat" to "A/C" in the same day.

    4. You know that the true value of a parking
space is not determined by the distance
to the door, but by the availability of shade.

    5. Stores don't have bags, they have sacks.

    6. You see people wear bib overalls at funerals.

    7. You measure distance in minutes.

    8. Little Smokies are something you
    serve only for special occasions.

    9. You listen to the weather forecast
    before picking out an outfit

    10. You know cow-pies are not made of beef.

    11. Someone you know has used a football
schedule to plan their wedding date.

    12. You have known someone who has had a
belt buckle bigger than your fist.

    13. You aren't surprised to find movie rental,
ammunition, and bait all in the same store.

    14. Your "place at the lake" has wheels under it.

    15. A Mercedes Benz is not a status symbol;
    a Ford F350 4x4 is.

    16. You know everything goes better
    with Ranch dressin'.

    17. You learned how to shoot a gun
before you learned how to multiply.

    18. You actually understand this and you are
"fixin' to" send it to your friends.

    19. Finally, you are 100% Texan if you have
    ever heard this conversation:
                 " You wanna coke?" "Yeah."
                 "What kind?"
                 "Dr. Pepper."

HELLZ YEAH BITCHES!

The best advice I ever got
Was don't be somebody [you're not]
And it's hard to measure up
But I thank God enough
We're all the same on the inside
But we're always up agaisnt everybody's [outside]
And it's hard to live up to strangers
... Beautiful girl ...
Some people always finish last
