Hey, guys.

Some of you know, and some of you don't, but I've decided to take a hiatus from EP for a while. I'm sick of the drama on this site, and - while they normally do not bother me - I am also tired of the near-constant stream of anti-gay messages. There comes a time when even the patience of Buddha is tried. I am nowhere near that patient, and so that time came a little sooner for me. I'll be back, most definitely, though I can't say when. I love all of my friends and family here - they know who they are - and I will miss them dearly. If they choose, they can message me and I will gladly exchange messengers and/or email addresses. The deadline for that is Friday - I'll be checking my messages until then. So, it's goodbye for now, you guys.

Hey, everyone! Sy here. I have a request for you all. Friday, April 25, 2008 is the National Day of Silence. All over the world, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, and anyone else who doesn't identify as "straight" are silenced for their preferences. They cannot speak out in defense of themselves and their way of life, for fear of becoming the targets of ridicule, hate, and violence.

On Friday, I would like all of you to be silent for the day, to echo the silence we face every day of our lives. It doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, or whatever - you can do your part to help us end the silence for good. For those that will participate, I thank you very much. Your silence on this day means more than you can imagine.
