Colour Correspondance

This does not pertain simply to Candles but to everything around you, including the "mundane" items in your house ^-^.

Colours affect us all in ways that are only now being fully understood. The way
a room is decorated can invigorate, relax, cause tension or promote peace, serenity and
healing within people, and each different colour can affect different people in widely different
ways. It is understood that these psychological effects are not Magickal in nature, but by utilising
them within our workings, then they can only add to the strength of the working, reinforcing
on a psychological level what it is we wish to achieve.
The table below gives the basic colour correspondances, that can be used in sympathetic
magick alone, or as part of the many correspondances used in Ritual and Spellcrafting. You may
choose to follow the accepted colour correspondances, or if a particular
colour has an individual meaning to you, then go with that!

Red: Fire element, energy, passion, love, power, courage, protection, passion, enthusiasm.
Blue: Water element, peace, joy, truthfulness, healing, meditation, tranquillity, forgiveness, patience, sleep, dream work.
Green: Earth element, healing, money, prosperity, hope, growth, luck, fertility, beauty, employment.
Yellow: Fire element (dark yellow), Air element (pale yellow), leadership, learning, communication, creativity, productivity, health, blessing, solar magick.
Pink: Emotional love, friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, has both fire and air elements.
Rose: Self love, enhancing relationships.
Orange: Strength, awareness, kindness, authority, sun and fire elements.
Purple: Water element, spirituality, psychic awareness, third eye, wisdom, higher self.
Gold: Sun, solar magick, financial matters, prosperity, Yang.
Silver: Moon, female energy, goddess, Yin.
Peach: Gentle strength, joy.
Black: Earth element, banishing, absorption & destruction of negative energy, rest.
White: Peace, purity, sincerity, protection, happiness, spirituality, strength, ritual, moon, goddess.
Lavender: Intuition, dignity, spiritual shield, inner child.
Brown: Healing animals, home, grounding, foundations, earthly.
Gray: Vision, neutrality, absorbs negativity.
