Elfpack's Japanese Lessons

HI! ^_^
I'm [MadHatress], or Rikki if you prefer.
I'll be the one to provide you with majority
of the Japanese-ness you'll find here.
I'm using text books, websites and other,
more personal resources to provide everyone
who comes across this page with information
to start in writting and reading Japanese.
I've yet to master the language myself, but
I'll be more then glad to learn with you guys. ^^
Let's start with the first lesson...

EPJ Lesson 1: Hiragana
EPJ Lessons: Writting characters

EPJ Lesson 2: Katakana
EPJ Lesson 3: Common Vocabulary
EPJ Lesson 4: Basic Grammar
EPJ Lesson 5: Numbers
EPJ Lesson 6: Telling Time
EPJ Lesson 7: Weekdays & Months of the Year
EPJ Lesson 7: Conjugating GODAN Verbs
EPJ Lesson 8: Conjugating ICHIDAN Verbs
EPJ Lesson 9: Using Verbs
EPJ Lesson 10: Adjectives and Adverbs
EPJ Lesson 11: Phrases and Greetings

I used freejapaneselessons.com for majority of the information placed on these pages.
http://www.guidetojapanese.org as a bit of a reference. nothing too much in the way of benificial for the more visual learner
I also utilize language tools to write in some of the phrases you'll see in later lessons...as well as some things I learned on my own, by watching movies in Japanese! ^~^ So I hope you find this site VERY useful in your learning here on EP.

2009-03-30 [Sister Creep]: Hello. I have some Japanese language books. And...for the Japanese writing pages, I was wondering if you'd like for me to get shots of the pages from my book showing larger characters and the stroke orders. :3

2009-03-30 [MadHatress]: that would be AWESOME!!

2009-04-15 [Product of a Primal Urge]: This is all really cool. I have a book that I'm trying to teach myself with but some of this is much more helpful. My book doesn't really have pronunciations so that is great! can't wait till you get more of it set up.

2009-04-15 [MadHatress]: ^^
thanks for the support! I get side-tracked with my RPs so I'm glad you reminded me that I'm not done yet, ^_^"

2009-04-15 [Product of a Primal Urge]: Haha, that's fine. I know how that goes. the first lesson will keep me occupied for a bit anyway!!

2009-04-15 [MadHatress]: awesome. hopefully everyone else sticks w/ lesson one for a while, lol

2009-04-15 [Product of a Primal Urge]: :D

2009-04-17 [Product of a Primal Urge]: In a step by step jap book I have, it says there is another symbol for the combination of 'ja' 'jo' 'ju'...would you like a pic of them? they have the row you mentioned and another for it as well...

2009-04-17 [MadHatress]: that would be awesome. is it for kanji or is it hiragana/katakana?

2009-04-17 [Product of a Primal Urge]: hiragana. the combos.

also, idk if you know but when there is a word then "-no" does that imply possession? like watashi-no is "my"...

2009-04-17 [MadHatress]: I think "watashi wa..." and "Boku wa" mean my name. I'm not sure what -no inplies...

and thank you

2009-04-17 [Product of a Primal Urge]: you're welcome.

2009-06-30 [NyxianVanity]: Gosh i figured i'd never find something like this! Arigatou gozaimasu for proving me wrong!

2009-06-30 [MadHatress]: douitashimashite

2009-06-30 [NyxianVanity]: :3

2009-06-30 [MadHatress]: heh

2009-07-15 [MadHatress]: i know i havent added things for a WHILE, but i have a lot going on between work, the bf and life...so
i'll get stuff going again soon...i hope
