CTHULHUCULT
Yes there are acctually the unenlightened few who cannot pronounce Cthulhu, I dont know how he managed it but one of my old friends pronounced it as Shloo-too... and so I must put this wiki into effect to help people avoid such pitfalls."
You must understand that Cthulhu and the chant Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn were not made for human tongues and vocal chords, so we can only get a short way close to its supposed sound.
Once old technology used to spy on submarines in one of the many wars hunmans fought picked up a sound unlike anything ever heard before, of such volume and such a low frequency that it ruled out all known life forms and all naturally occuring phenomena. It was recorded at approximatley 50° 0′ 0″ S, 100° 0′ 0″ W any lovecraft fan should know a location in the pacific very near to that coordinate. R'lyeh.
This could have been The Call of Cthulhu and taking into account its low frequency and massive volume gives the impression Cthulhu's vocals are totally unattainable by humans.
Nevertheless! Humans will still try to call to Cthulhu.
Phonectically as possible.
Cthulhu: Cah - Thoo - Loo.
The "Ah" is to be short and sharp almost non existant, putting these non-existant vowels in just helps pronounciation
. Also the "oo" in Loo should be slightly "breathy", take note of the H in there.
Some people pronounce Cthulhu "Cuh - Too - Loo" this is incorrect. It is a pronunciation brought about by people's inability to read Cthulhu as "Cah - Thoo - Loo"
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn: I will provide audio for this eventually.
