Spirit horse of the Cherokee

When the trail of tears began for the Cherokee, it was when the white men came. They came to trade and borrow, but then they would not leave. They began to take us by boat, some of us died at sea, the ones who lived were sold into slavery.
We welcomed them as brothers, knowing nothing of their greed. The hunters became the hunted. But soon we stood up and realized who we are. We are descendants of the animals, we live among the free. Our trail of tears will end one day, this we know.
As we paint ourselves for war, the Great Spirit will make us strong, and he will take us to the sky.
The Cherokee are brave, we are not afraid to die!

2010-07-22 [Sonya Blue]: I'm only gonna say this once, if anyone uses the word HAO at all in this rp, i will smack you in the head with something hard and heavy! Native Americans never used the word Hao to greet people, the cherokee used the word 'Osiyo' The simple meaning to the word is hello, but, it really means "It is good to see you." but that is how cherokee greet eachother, they don't and never did say hao...
