It seems that time is slowly ticking away, 
as I lay listening to something familiar to 
my ears, wondering ‘What’s the point of life?’ 
and how it could be different knowing there is 
nothing I can do, makes my motionless body go numb. 
Listening, as I try to understand each word of the 
songs that I love so dearly. Finally realizing, some 
people do understand me. Cold tears run down my face, 
for I’m a disgrace to all. 
The words you once said replay in my head. 
Burning holes through my soul. 
I begin to remember all the things you did to me. 
My hatred begins to boil inside of me. 
Knowing you’ll never understand me for who I was, 
who I am, and who I am going to be. 
You will never see the real me.
