What do we know about Shinya?

Real Name: Terachi Shinya
Birthdate: 2/24/1978
Hometown: Osaka
Blood Type: B
Height: 170 cm (about 5'6")
Weight: 42 kg. (92.4 lbs. ?!)

Shinya is the youngest member of Dir en grey, and was still in High School when he joined La:Sadies (see band info.) Because he is the youngest, the other members tease him- especially Die! If you haven't noticed, Shinya is very quiet and secretive. At one point, the rest of the band didn't know he had a phone for 6 months- and they found out through Kyo! The other members say he is the most manly of the group. He is very fond of Oricon. He loves to watch the charts, and is said to even predict ratings accurately sometimes!! Shinya is very concerned about his weight and health. According to him, around December 1999, he weighed 42 kg!!

You wouldn't know by looking at him, but Shinya is an incredible drummer!!! The drums sound so powerful, it's hard to imagine that the sound could be produced by Shinya's long and "frail"-looking arms. He composed Yurameki and Hotarubi. He also composed Toriko and Raison D'etre with Toshiya. He came up with the album name for +GAUZE+. It came from the concept of beauty and ugliness- gauze is a pretty little bandage to cover the terrible wound underneath. He feels that the concept suits their album very much.

Shinya on Girls:

Shinya is VERY discreet on the subject. For every question asked, he says "normal is good." Please observe:

Q: Let's be a bit more specific. Do you prefer darker or fairer girls?
Shinya: Not in particular... darker or fairer... Normal girls are good.
Q: What about, would you choose one with a better figure or one that is kawaii?
Shinya: Not in particular. Normal is good.
Q: Hmm... then can we ask Shinya-kun what your definition of "normal" is?
Shinya: "Normal" is the usual kind of normal.
Q: But then... normal people would probably have broader waists than you.
(?!What kind of interviewer is this?!)
Shinya: It's okay... doesn't matter if it's fat or slim waists... (wants to laugh)
Q: (annoyed by now) Why won't you talk about love or girls?
Shinya: Because even 'til now, I never talked about it. So, if I answered you, people will wonder 'Why did Shinya say this here?' I guess I'll talk about this when I turn 30.

At this point he didn't recall recieving any love letters.
