In a word: nerd. But that'd be a pretty boring profile to leave it at that, huh?

SOOO, we go on. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it. You don't have to talk to me, or even, ever again, acknowledge my existence. Why do I say this? No reason...

As I said, I am a nerd. An über-nerd (complete with umlaut! Wai!). And that... would take too much to elaborate on. So I won't, really. Though I will mention the three instruments I play, for any fellow band nerds that care: oboe, bassoon, and alto sax (in that order, chronologically).

I'm also a gamer. I have pretty much every Nintendo system, minus the original NES, Virtual Boy, and Wii, as well as a PS1. I mostly play RPGs (woot for Tales of and Golden Sun!). Although I must list a caveat to that: I HATE Final Fantasy, ESPECIALLY VII (though XII seems a happy surprise...).
I also play Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania (the "Metroidvania" style ones), the Chrono pair, the Goemon games, and various other platformers...

The rest of my free time is pretty much spent watching TV. Much TV do I watch. I like quite a few comedy series, including Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Family Guy, The Simpsons, My Family (a British sitcom, for my fellow Americans), Monty Pythn's Flying Circus, Invader Zim, The Critic, Mission Hill, The Oblongs, Futurama (though the episodes get old quickly...), Scrubs, House, M*A*S*H, Dead Like Me, 30 Rock, Animaniacs (it's NOT just for kids) Monk, and Psych. I also watch a few shows on Dixcovery Channel, like Mythbusters, How It's Made, and Cash Cab. I also enjoy many anime, including (but not limited to) NANA, Bleach, Kekkaishi, MaR, Tsubasa Chronicles, xxxHolic, Death Note, Azumanga Daioh, FLCL, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, and Utawarerumono. I also like Avatar: The Last Airbender (not technically anime, and you should note it is NOT in the same sentence, but I accept that it's probably the closest Western cartoons will come for many a year).

On the subject of comedy, a few comedians I like are George Carlin, Lewis Black, Jeff Dunham, Paula Poundstone, Bill Engvall, Ron White, and The Amazing Johnathan.

I regularly read the webcomics Misfile, Something Positive, Three Panel Soul, Megatokyo, Slightly Damned, and Filthy Lies! (though the last hasn't been updated in a while...). I'm also, every so often, picking away at the archives of Applegeeks, FLEM comics, Questionable Content, and Two Lumps. I read Pork Wrench, Mac Hall, and Men in Hats up until each three died off...

I don't follow music genres very closely, I must say. I know I don't like rap. It's an offense to both language and music, two things I rather enjoy. Most of the stuff I listen to is in Japanese, and it would mostly be considered rock. My favorite bands are the pillows, FLOW, Orange Range, Do As Infinity, ALI PROJECT, TOKIO, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and ELLEGARDEN. I also like English novelty artists like Tom Lehrer and "Weird Al", as well as many a Dr. Demento collection. Finally, I like a lot of classical/instrumental stuff; my favorite composers include Vivaldi, Mozart, (and the rest are from video games) Yasunori Mitsuda, Koji Kondo, and Motoi Sakuraba.

Most of the news I get is from Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, a HILARIOUS quiz program on NPR.

Ahh, now I think we come to religion and politics. Neither is a very fun subject. I'll say of both: don't give me crap about mine, I won't give you crap about yours. If you want to know my reasoning, feel free to ask. But be prepared for an argument. DON'T try to convert me or any of that crap. I'm not interested. That whole bit aside, I'm an atheistic liberal. Make of that what you will.

Lastly, I do some writing in my spare time. Mostly fantasy stuff, some comedy-oriented, some action-oriented, some plot-oriented. I also write some poetry on the side, always couplets in iambic tetrameter (If you want to see an example, scroll down to the bottom: I've put up a piece I'm working on.).

...SOME of my friends will say that I'm a pretty good person, and pretty talented, too, but I don't believe a word of it.
