♫ Oh what a girl, oh what a beautiful girl she is ♫
- Blue October
In the Shallows
Water was a lonesome man who lapped upon the shore
And when he saw Sand’s lovely form, he lusted for her more.
Tender waves he sent to her with gifts of shells and foam
But Sand rejected Water’s love and clung to her dry home.
For Sand was good and wise and knew the stories others told
Of treacherous Water’s actions, for he was forceful, powerful, bold.
So she ignored poor Water’s gifts and loving adoration
Thus as Sand slept the murmuring liquid made his declaration.
“I’ll be with you someday, my love,” he whispered to sweet Sand,
“For though you may not know it yet, I’ve got something special planned.”
Dear Water had conversed with Sun and begged a special treat
That all the next day Sun might bring an unbearable heat.
And so he did and so they came, these people with their toys
Of plastic buckets, shovels and such, hundreds of girls and boys.
They filled their buckets up with Sand and poured her right on in
To Water, whose excited smile faded quickly from a grin
As his darling Sand’s soft sun-bleached grains fell gently to his floor,
Now heavy, darkened, slimy, damp, she was a beach no more.
For foolish Water had not learned where sea and sand may meet
More often than not one can find pairs of stamping, muddy feet.
So these feet play where wet meets dry and seashells litter shore,
Where water reached up to his lady and kissed her hand once more.
Considering the Distance
These little discrepancies push us further apart
From one another and I can't help but to notice
That we seem to be losing touch with ourselves,
That what used to be simply you and I together
Has become only you and only I, and nothing
Else beyond the individuality and loneliness
Of being a single entity alone in this world
Could possibly repair this sudden chasm.
Important P.S.A.
People are idiots.
If you are people, you are too.
♫ ...we all know
there's no hell and no hiroshima
chernobyl was a coverup
the world is really all in love... ♫

Read them, believe them, live them.
"It is one of the severest tests of friendship to tell your friend his faults.
So to love a man that you cannot bear to see a stain upon him, and to speak painful
truth through loving words, that is friendship."
~ Henry Ward Beecher
“Be yourself.
Above all, let who you are, what you are, what you believe, shine through every sentence you write, every piece you finish.”
~ John Jakes
“Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.”
~ Peter T. Mcintyre
♫ I want to tell you that everything will be okay
That everything will eventually turn itself to gold
So keep pushing through it all
Don't follow, lead the way ♫
