History-Prince Phobos took the throne of the kingdom of Meridian and began to drain the life force of the people in order to fuel his own magical powers with the aim of becoming strong enough to take over other worlds. However, realizing that Phobos posed a great threat, the Council of Kandrakar, a realm at the center of the universe, raised a magical shield, known as the Veil around Meridian, sealing Phobos inside and cutting it off from the rest of from all other worlds. Phobos' primary concern is finding his lost sister Elyon Brown, whose powers are equal to his own and was spirited away to Earth approximately 12 years prior, so that he cannot drain her life force and add it to his own. With her power, Phobos would be able to break through the Veil and begin his conquest of other worlds. Phobos has a love hate relationship with Hailnor Hale.

History-Elyon Brown is the Queen of Meridian, and the Light of Meridian. Elyon was born in Meridian, lone daughter to the Queen and King and heir to the throne. However, after the disappearance of her parents, a Meridianite named Hailnor took her to Earth to evade the wrath of the cruel and heartless Phobos, her evil brother, and to protect her from him, who had plans to steal her superior magical powers. Elyon was raised there as a normal girl by the Browns, Meridianites whom Elyon believed to be her parents and former officers of the royal guard. She knew nothing of Meridian or her true identity until Lord Cedric tricked her into going there.Elyon was raised by Miriadel and Alborn, two Meridianites she believed to be her parents. They lived on Earth with Elyon under the aliases of Mr. Thomas Brown and Mrs. Eleanor Brown. They raise Elyon as a normal girl and told her nothing about Meridian or that they were denizens of another dimension. When Elyon was taken to live with Phobos, Miriadel and Alborn were locked up in the Prison of Meridian.

But will it cost her her life or her soul? Only time will tell. Halinor is a shapeshifter, an excellent hand to hand fighter and he can also sense and use magic like shooting energy blasts or raising magical barriers.

History- Her brother is faithful to Phobo, and trapped her there when the council closed their borders off. Her brother and Phobo have kept her alive for fun really, draining some of her power now and again when they want to. She doesn't show her face anymore because her brother has scared half of it.

Personality- He's a cruel psychopath and lives to torture people, particularly his sister, who's kindness and compassion gets on his nerves.
History- His sister and he are complete opposites, and that affected their history. He was at first cast out for what he did to his parents and sister, and then Phobo came and found him and the two began to work together. He trapped his sister for fun, never realizing that through her fear of him, she would gain strength to help the rebellion.

Personality- Nerissa is calm and calculating, and she will step on or over anybody in order to further her cause.
History- Nerissa the left hand of Phobos. She and Elijah and Cedric help Phobos to trick Elyon into believing that Meridian is a beautiful good place even though Meridian is dark and evil place. Her elemental power is Quintessence, which can bestow life on inanimate objects. It can also be used like conventional electricity, allowing her to attack an opponent using powerful lightning bolts and to form an electrical shield around herself. Nerissa can even create new life. Nerissa's ability to use Quintessence is so advanced that she is able to raise the dead.She is also an illusionist able to change her own appearance and to twist the minds of others to her will, however because she isn't actually changing the shape of her body, her shadow can still be seen in her true form.
