Broken Butterfly ©

Torn wings carry this butterfly
On broken souls her hopes reside
Lost causes sing her a lullaby
In only her dreams can she confide.

Tell them secrets of love and betrayal
Watch as her wings tear and decay
Glance at her body shaken and frail
Pray that she lasts another day.

For on that day she'll lose her disguise
And on that day she'll make things right
Give her just one more sunrise
Let it last until the night.

But these wings are slowly dying
And this life is fading fast
And her eyes they wont stop crying
And her life just cannot last.

So she grips onto reality
With all that she's got left
And leaves her life of sin and greed
And does whats for the best.

She tears away her wings of hate
And leaves them now for good
She prizes her soul from her withered fate
And moves to a life more understood.

Devastations ©

Once, long ago, in a far away place
where people were judged by name and face.
Death crawled over the land and made itself known,
tearing families apart and taking people from home.

Buildings crumbled and statues fell,
once a good idea had turned Earth into hell.
And what is this thing, causing uproar and hate?
Simple-war, stealing the innocents fate.

So much technology, and advances in science,
yet governments were still all too defiant,
that war can help, but too late they saw
the devastation death and grief, caused by war.

Pro-Choice ©

They told me not to do it, they begged and they cried,
they said i'd regret it when my baby died.
But how could I keep it, be destined to remember,
that cold, lonely day way back in december?
No one knew the pain and couldn't imagine the terror
I'd be doomed to live with and remember forever.
And so I went and I did it, and i'm finally free,
free to lead my life, with no one but me.
Now i can forget all that happened and move on,
which is why i'm pro-choice, as rape is wrong.

The Feeling of Loss ©

He was trapped in the bathroom, such a typical place
his eyesight was dimming yet his heart continued to race,
two minutes later and he was found dead
curled up in a ball with his arms round his head.
His sister was the first on the dismal scene
and discovered the needle half full of morphine.
He was her brother, the only thing keeping her sane
yet he so thoughtlessly killed off every cell in his brain.
Merely a child, she's left to it-finally her own boss,
but will never get over this feeling of loss.

Vampire©

The sun will no longer shine
When life and death intwine
Your very life becomes a maze
Every feeling is now ablaze
Blood is what you need
And killing is how you feed
Lure your prey with a finger
In the shadows where you linger
Darkness becomes your only friend
Light is your enemy till the end
So goes on your endless life
Never will it end with just a knife
This is what comes with this curse
Now you've heard the Vampire verse

Lets go together©

Come away, away with me,
lets be happy, smile with glee.
Hide our pain, fake a smile,
fool the world, for just a while.

Look in my eyes, you see my fear,
though to everyone else, its just a tear.
Im fine, im ready to die,
I'm down, the rope that will not tie

Lifes too long, do you agree?
Lets go together, come with me.
When our eyes close,eternal sleep,
we can be happy, wont hear a peep.

Together we can find a way,
to discretely fade away.
Go away, with a single blow,
leave this world, no-one need know
how bad our lives were.
We need not be dettered

Lets go now, eternal rest,
go together, both shall be blessed.
I'll love you forever, forever, i will,
will you too? lets take the pill?

Anti-Homophobia ©

They stamped on his hands and spat in his face,
not because of his hair or because of his race,
but because he was different in a "different" way,
and so for this, very dearly he'd pay.
And no one would be there to hear his muffled pleas,
as they forced him down to beg on hands and knees.
They stripped him of dignity, self-worth and pride,
leaving him with nothing.
Alone and beaten, cold, they left him to lay,
simply because he admitted the words, "i'm gay."

My sister [Zombiie Natiion] didnt like the above poem, and said it was too sad.
So here is a happier version i've extended for her benefit:

They stamped on his hands and spat in his face,
not because of his hair or because of his race,
but because he was different in a "different" way,
and so for this, very dearly he'd pay.
And no one would be there to hear his muffled pleas,
as they forced him down to beg on hands and knees.
Finally they tired of their hateful little fight,
said "leave the gay, he'll be alright."
As the years passed, they grew up to grow worse,
everyone who was different they'd beat and they'd curse.
Never they'd be happy or content in their life,
for fear and malice was all for they could strive.
Yet the boy they beat all them many years ago,
grew up to a man, who love and affection he'd show
to the boy, and help him grow stronger,
which just shows. A sufferer, he is no longer.
