Donating Artwork to Elfpack

   All right, so your interested in submitting your artwork to Elfpack for all the world to see, or perhaps you'd like to make graphics for other members to use. Fantastic! But you're a little confused how to go about donating. That's just fine. It's a very simple process.

   First, determine what kind of artwork you'd like to submit. If you're looking to donate artwork that you don't want people to use for themselves, but would like to show off for other members to see, you're looking for the Elfpack Artwork Galleries. If you're looking to donate graphics for members to use exclusively on Elfpack, then you're looking for Elfpack Graphics. All donated artwork must be your own work. Each piece of artwork you submit to Elfpack counts as 1 art donation.

   Keep in mind, if you're going to donate artwork to Elfpack, it must be uploaded to Elfpack. See Uploading Images to find out how to upload images to Elfpack. Also keep in mind that artwork donated to Elfpack must also follow the Uploading Art Rules, so make sure to read those too!

Donating to the Elfpack Artwork Galleries

   The artwork galleries are subdivided into several categories. This is done to keep similar artwork grouped together. The current categories are: Anime, Fantasy, Sci Fi, 3D, Self Portrait, Landscapes, and Abstract. The subdivisions are pretty self-explanatory, so just choose the gallery that suits your piece of artwork best. After you've decided which category you'd like your artwork placed under, click the link to that gallery. You will be brought to that particular gallery, and you'll see the many images already submitted to that gallery.

   When you're ready to submit, scroll to the bottom of the page, just before the comment box. You will see a button that says "Edit this page." Click that button. The page will reload with a white box with text in it at the top. This is the edit box. Don't mess with any of the stuff that's already there, but scroll to the bottom of the box. At the bottom there is a short, two-line code that has "Go or return to:" and then a link back to the galleries. Place your submission above that. Use the following format so your submission will look like the others before it:

<center><img:YOURIMAGEURLHERE></center>
<center>By [Username]</center>
<center><img:stuff/divider.jpg></center>

   When you're done, click the "Submit changes to this page" button. That's it! You've just donated artwork to Elfpack!

Donating to Elfpack Graphics

   When donating to Elfpack Graphics, keep in mind that your graphics will be free for Elfpackers to use on Elfpack. Elfpack Graphics is also divided into several categories: Dividers, Bullets, Words, Welcome, Pretty Things, Zodiac Images, Banners, Elfpack Logos, and Stylesheets. Again, the divisions are pretty self explanatory, so just choose the gallery that suits your piece of artwork best. After you've decided which category you'd like your artwork placed under, click the link to that category. You will be brought to that particular category, and you'll see the many images already submitted to it.

   Now, Elfpack Graphics is pretty big, so there are likely to be a lot of pages for each category. These are listed at the top of the page. When you're ready to submit, click on the last link in the category, and scroll to the bottom of the page, just before the comment box. You will see a button that says "Edit this page." Click that button. The page will reload with a white box with text in it at the top. This is the edit box. Don't mess with any of the stuff that's already there, but scroll to the bottom of the box. Add your submission before the last <hr> code, and use the following format:

<hr>
<center>Images By [Username]
<img:IMAGEURLHERE></center>

   You can add as many submissions as you want in one go, just keep them grouped together under your username. See EG Dividers for a simple example.

   When you're done with that, you'll see at the bottom of the box there is a little bit of code that says "Graphics Counter" followed by a few usernames with numbers by their names. Following that example, give a link to your username ([Username]) and the number of your submissions to that page. When you're done, click the "Submit changes to this page" button. That's it! You've just donated artwork to Elfpack!

Making a Record of Your Donation

   Once you've made your submission, head over to Art Donation Records and add your name to the 'Pending' list in the correct section. Use the following format: [Username] - ## (My Graphics Donations / In 'Pretty Things' at Elfpack Graphics) Please make sure that you tell us where your graphics are, and that they're uploaded to Elfpack. If you do all that, then you'll get a shiny Artist badge!

Submitting Poetry To Elfpack

   Submitting poetry to Elfpack is quick and easy, and can even get you a nifty Poet badge! Poetry submissions are taken in two separate places: Elfpack Daily Poem, and Elfpack Poetry. And how you submit depends on where you want to submit it. All donated poetry must be your own work. Each poem you donate counts as 1 poetry donation.

Submitting to Elfpack Daily Poem

   The Elfpack Daily Poem takes submissions on it's current submission page (listed on the front page). It also puts your poem in the "drawing" of sorts to be put on Mainstuff for everyone to see. Of course, everyone can see it anyway from the wiki, but if it's featured you get a Daily Poet badge. There are no categories for the Daily Poem, but the limits and rules for submitting there are listed on Elfpack Daily Poem Rules. We're always happy to see new submissions there. However you can only submit poems there once a month. This may change eventually, though, so make sure to keep the rule page on watch.

To submit your poetry to the current Elfpack Daily Poem submission page, click the link to the current submission page (it's listed on the front page of the Elfpack Daily Poem). Scroll to the bottom of the page, just before the comment box. Click the button that says "Edit this page." The page will reload with a white box at the top. Don't mess with anything already written in the box, but scroll to the bottom of it. You will see the following code: "HR1 LINKLIST <hr>" Don't mess with that! Write your poem above that code in the following format:

<hr>

[Username]
<i>Title of Poem</i>

Your poem

When you're done, click the button that says "Submit changes to this page," and that's it! You've just submitted your poem to the Elfpack Daily Poem.

Submitting to Elfpack Poetry

   If you have more than one poem you'd like to submit, or just don't want it to be featured on Mainstuff, there is also Elfpack Poetry. There are many different subcategories to place your poems under: Funny, Deep and Meaningful, Descriptive, Odes to Elfpackers, Euphoric, Death, and Friendship and Love poetry. Just choose whichever subcategory best defines your poem.

Once you've chosen your category and are ready to submit, click the link to that category. This will bring up that category's page, with all of its poetry. Most of the Elfpack Poetry categories have many pages, so scroll to the bottom of the page, just before the comment box. If you see a list of many links, click the last link of that category. This will take you to that category's current submission page. Once that page has loaded, scroll to the bottom of the page again, just before the comment box. Click the "Edit this page" button. The page will reload with a white box at the top. This is the edit box. Scroll to the bottom of that box. Find the last poem submitted, and post your poem below it in the following format:

<hr>

[Username]
<i>Title of Poem</i>

Your poem.

When you're done editing the page, click "Submit changes to this page" and that's it! You've just submitted your poem to Elfpack Poetry!

Making a Record of Your Donation

   Once you've made your submission, head over to Poetry Donation Records and add your name to the list in the correct section. Use the following format: [Username] ## Donation(s) Please do us a favour and leave a message in the comment box telling us where your donations have been put so that it's easy for us to verify. If you do all that, then you'll get a shiny Poet badge!
