Sinister review
Ellison Oswalt (played by Ethan Hawke) is a true-crime novelist who never made it big. Desperate to find his next story, he moves his wife and two children into a house down the street from where a truly grisly family homicide occurred. What he doesn't tell them is that
they're actually living in the house it happened in. While moving some boxes into the attic he finds a box of old 8mm "snuff" films and decides to see if he can break the case and find his way to stardom once more. Will he and his family pay the price?
SPOILERS! Yes, they will. If you're the type of person that hates watching a nearly two hour movie just to see everyone die at the end, this isn't for you. However, there are a handful of legitimately disturbing scenes that will make a lasting impression.
