Moving along then...

Actually, it is called "Initial Conditions" in Physics. You don't usually look for news blogs (or Wikipedia) in Science, you get References (i.e.: real bibliography, with quotes from other science papers or journals written by Scientists). I hate to say it, but it is actually a closed community. Not anyone can go around saying "oh Science says this, Science says that"... doesn't work that way. You need a PhD in A Science to make those claims & you have to demonstrate them. I am not a Biologist, but they are not quite Science yet.
So no, the question is dismissed Scientifically because it does not have an answer. & those answers given in the news blog are not correct logically... I didn't even bother reading it too (waste of time imho). But don't take it from me! Go ask your nearest Physics University Department about Initial & Boundary conditions as well as the various theories on the origin of life from nothing & see if you don't just get sent to the Arts department =D

The chicken & egg question is in fact as [kittykittykitty] pointed out an argument based on semantics. That is a rather clever remark actually... because it does bring the fact back home: it IS a Philosophy question, never belonged in Science. there may be neither chicken or egg in the beginning of it all. The concept may be completely wrong altogether.
