It is very differant than myspace. Here on Elfpack you can make a relation with someone and see when they are online. In order to make a relation with a member they have to send you at least one message first, then you can click the button at the bottom of their house to request a relation. (they must accept it before it goes through)

I think that EP has all of the good stuff that Myspace has, and none of the bad stuff that annoys me about myspace :D

I agree :D It's annoying trying to have a discussion with somebody on myspace unless it's via PM, for not being able to comment on your own page or photos, and group discussion is impossible. Some pages take forever to load up because there's so much crap on one page, without an option to move it elsewhere like a wiki-page.

Another thing about myspace that doesn't happen here (at least not as much) is 'collecting' of friends and profile comments. It's the same on many other 'social networking' sites. Those things are hidden away here, and I don't see them as important ;)

Then I figured out that the message came from me so as long as accept the relation, then end it when they are off line and then delete the sent message before they read it they will probably never notice ;)

2011-11-16 [Stephen]: I don't care if things are spelled either way, just generally everything is in American-English and that's why I told you not to turn it all into British-English.

Elftown actually has some clause somewhere that everything is supposed to be British-English and American English is a misspelling, though we're not quite as big on such trivial matters. :P


Also: We're redoing/remaking/resorting many of the help pages, so moving it wouldn't be the best idea since it might end up being erased or merged elsewhere.

That's completely up to [Hedda], and from what I understand he'd need to change the way the database handles things. It'd also mess up the membernumbers. You'd either have holes in it (invalid URLS), or you'd have new members with lower IDs than senior members, which doesn't make sense. Bumping all higher IDs down when someone self-deletes would change our profile url, which means links wouldn't work correctly.
