I just don't feel the same way,
I think I'm about to fall.
The whole world is swaying,
I'm gonna hit the wall.
The mountain I stand on
is crumbling around me.
All that's left of my life
is the rock below my feet.
So many voices,
so much to understand.
They're ripping me apart
just because they can.
Pretend I'm not crazy,
just smile like it's ok.
No one can change me,
try a different day.
Take your toys and go home, kid.
No one wants to play.
All that belongs to you is
the hope of one more day.
I hope you save the world,
just 'cause I know you can.
This world's an hourglass,
we're just grains of sand.

Have you ever cried yourself to sleep,
But in the morning,
Things remain unchanged,
Yet you know not what you're mourning?
Have you ever cried yourself to sleep
And not known what was wrong?
You're asking if it'll ever be the same
As before you started your song
You started
That song in your mind
Last night all while
The tears began to unwind.
And you hoped that
Getting it down on paper
Would some way, some how
Make it all better.
But still this paper
Remains read only by you
Which is all to blame on the fear
Of no one you can speak to.
You made a promise
That you're hoping to stick to:
To be a good girl and without a scar
To keep pushing on through.
So you sit here
With a pen at hand
Writing lines down
As they enter your head
Because they may be the last
You'll ever write
Before you're lost in your own
Powerful and poisonous dark night.

We fight, we hate, we laugh, we play,
We try to embrace life everyday.
We go to war and we make peace,
We hope that love will never cease.
We break down and so we hide,
We hope that no one sees our vulnerable side.
We run away from all our fears,
We put on masks to hide our tears.
We kick, we hit, we scream, we fight,
We cling to the norm with all our might.
We look down on others because of race,
We search and search to find our place.
We look in the mirror and hate what we see,
We are never the people we want to be.
We starve ourselves to ease our pain,
We work so hard to just stay sane.
We get married and it falls apart,
We have no shame in breaking a heart.
We hit each other in anger and rage,
We keep our feelings locked up in a cage.
We fire guns that wound and kill,
We overdose on drugs and pills.
We are friends and we are foes
We go through highs and we go through lows.
We get wiser as the years go by,
We pray for others when they die.
We make mistakes and then we learn,
We watch our forests as they burn.
We let our children smoke and drink,
We just sit there as they sink.
We give up our souls for riches and fame,
We may always stay the same.
We are humans, perfect we're not;
We make the same mistakes a lot.
We fall down but again we'll rise,
We are amazing in all shapes and size.

Have you ever lost someone you thought you knew?
Lost them to people who don't have a clue.
Have you ever wondered why you're all alone?
Waited by the computer or for a voice on the phone.
Have you ever lay down on your knees and prayed?
Said goodbye to someone who promised they'd stay.
Have you ever felt freedom from the restraints of life?
Wanted so badly to end all the strife.
Have you ever choked on words your scared to say?
Been so mad at the world that day.
Have you ever just wished that it would all end?
Known that things were beyond fix or mend.
Have you ever walked a mile in anyone's shoes?
Figured out things you thought weren't true.

A girl and her horse
Nothing more, nothing less.
Now the horse is gone
The girl is a mess.
The tears are many
The hurt is great.
We all try to remember
What happened was fate.
She will suffer no more
Released of her pain.
Now all that's left
is a lock of her mane.
Her spirit can soar
Her soul can now fly.
It was the right thing to do
But still I ask why?

Losing your mind and blurting shit.
Dropping bombs from the verbal slit.
seemingly no one of your kind exists.
Hatred upon yourself for losing it.
Take a breath now don't lose to this.
A higher power indeed it is.
fighting for vengeance and it revenge.
no one will win I quit again.
Hated words and passionate grins.
I think I'm never even gonna win.
Rear back now roar it out.
Let the monster within you shout,
Regret over hate, Hate over pain.
A monster that should be slain,
Living on in an idiot's brain.

The world rests still as the fish jumps,
I see my reflection in the pools of your eyes.
Your pupils have waves, they have mysteries and depth.
I drown in them but am saved by the curvy banks,
Of those amazing moist lips.
Every curve that I cling to, not with my limbs,
But by my very own banks.
I am pulled under from tides, getting lost,
In the pit I fall. The pain is missing.
That comforts me, as for I would have departed.
The lilies are smirking upon us,
They think I can't save myself.
I am guilty by fault as I only feel nothing under me.
That smile, Yours just there.
It's in the smile that I find a way to salvage my image.
I climb up. Grasp at those bountiful hills.
Your moist river banks have given such beauty upon the land.
I'd do it all over again, If only to be saved.

You Can't Save Me]
Stoic Prisoner of Me
From my pen I write the real
My ink holds the rhythm of dreams
A palace of me, my picture paints
A dungeon of life. My stoic face seems
To show, everything, nothing, everything
But really, nothing at all.
From inside I call, to whom but me?
Can you hear it? The soft silence,
That only I can see
Can you feel it? The cold bars of my prison,
Beckoning and hindering
Calling me to the cold world outside
Keeping me in the cold world inside
The constant dreams that stand
Me up on my feet
Are the same dreams that my hand
Can’t reach. Past the bars
I see what the world can be
But as long as i am barred
I will remain, the Stoic Prisoner of Me.
